One of Pravco’s most prestigious interior general
construction projects consisted of a 30,000 square foot build out of an
interior space for the law firm of Duane Morris, located in the United
Plaza building in Philadelphia, PA. This high end build out was necessitated
in order to expand Duane Morris’s existing headquarters and create
additional space for support staff .
Pravco, Inc. completed this installation within budget and on schedule,
while delivering a quality finished product. The scope of work included
all mechanical and architectural trades as follows:
- Plumbing,
- HVAC
- Sprinkler
- Electrical
- Telecommunications.
- Drywall and carpentry installations
- High end millwork
- Granite installations were used at the elevator lobby, the pantry and various locations throughout the space to high light these areas.
- New acoustic panels, painting and wall covering
- New acoustic ceilings
- Sound masking.
- Custom designed carpet was installed at ancillary support areas.
- The existing conveyor mail delivery distribution system was extended
to include the new floor. Coordination of this work was scheduled on
overtime to ensure minimum inconvenience to Duane Morris personnel and
other tenant occupants on adjacent floors of the building. The work
included demolition and installation of new steel, including welded
connections, new concrete, fire rated drywall partitions for the shaft
and all the pertinent ancillary installations for the extension of the
delivery of the mail system for the new floor.
The build out was fast tracked and completed in approximately twelve
weeks in April of 2007, including all inspections and attainment of a
certificate of occupancy. This would ensure Duane Morris personnel could
move into their new space by their targeted date. Some additional upgrades
on other floors were also completed at the beginning of May 2007.
Approximate Cost - $ 2,600,000 |
